Dr Caroline Summers is a General Medicine Physician currently consulting from the Ramsay consulting suites at Ramsey Clinic New Farm. Her special area of interest is the medical complications of Eating Disorders and thus she works in partnership with many of the psychiatrists at this site.
As of November 2025 she has capacity for new referrals for outpatient appointments. Dr Summers also consults on the medical complications of inpatients at the New Farm Clinic and is the founding pioneer of the Renourish Program at the Wesley Hospital, where patients are offered an inpatient nasogastric feeding protocol for the treatment of medically unstable patients with Eating Disorders. This inpatient program is the only private voluntary inpatient program of its type in Australia for those patients requiring this type of specialist care. Dr Summers is a member of the Royal Australian College of Physicians, ANZAED, the Queensland Eating Disorder Advisory Group and has a Masters in Public Health. She is also a specialty supervisor in General Medicine for the University of Queensland.
Outpatient initial general medicine “new” patient appointments will be a 60 minute appointment and will require a referral from a GP, non GP specialist or psychiatrist. Ongoing review appointments or post discharge appointments are usually 30 minutes in length.
Any further enquiries regarding referrals, admissions to the Wesley for inpatient beds and appointment fees can be found by contacting New Farm Suites.
